We've found a document that gives insight to what the original developers planned for Runaway Bay.

Did you know that Runaway Bay:

• was designed to be a 30,000 resident community?
• was referred to as "The Texas Riviera?"
• was to be the top quality resort in Texas?
• utilized the latest technology in constructing its utilities and streets?
• was supposed to have a Gun Club, a Shopping Mall, a Post Office, and more?
• and did you know that the golf course was designed to be a 27 hole course!?
