The Mission of the Runaway Bay Economic Development Corporation is to retain and attract businesses while capitalizing on Runaway Bay's lakeside character and sense of community.  It is the purpose of the EDC to strengthen and to maximize the potential of existing businesses as well as to attract new business to the area.  In all our efforts, we seek to build on Runaway Bay's country community character and to take advantage of the recreational resource that Lake Bridgeport provides.

The EDC is continuing to pursue ways in which we can help existing businesses and in which we can help new businesses locate and grow here.  We will provide information about such programs on these pages.
