Property Enhancement Incentive Policy for Existing Businesses
Thank you for doing business in Runaway Bay. The EDC is working to support existing businesses in the community. In 2018, the EDC developed and proposed and the City Council passed a resolution authorizing us to help existing businesses financially. The Runaway Bay, Texas, Property Enhancement Incentive Policy allows us to help existing business owners pay for improvements to their facilities. The policy allows the EDC to do "matching funds" for approved projects.
To qualify for the program, the business must
- be in a commercially zoned building (non-residential)
- within the city limits of Runaway Bay, Texas
- must be a for-profit, tax revenue generating entity (either sales tax or HOT (hotel) taxes)
- in good standing with the city
To apply for an enhancement download and review the policy, brochure, and application. Complete the application and turn it in to staff at City Hall who will forward it to the EDC Liason.

As part of our business support program, we will be featuring Runaway Bay based businesses on our website and Facebook pages. Please let us know if you do NOT want to be a part of that program.

Providing that information will help us get the word out about your business. If you don't have a Facebook Page and LinkedIn page, consider creating one.
